I met the stylist a couple of weeks prior and had her condition my hair. She did an ok job. Didn't dry my hair completely to the root. But the curl job was good.
The next time I went in I had a full head weave done and she washed and conditioned my natural hair. I arrived at 2:00 pm sharp. That is what she told me. When I arrived she was doing someone else's hair. Before I go any further I must explain that I purchased some very expensive human cuticle hair and wanted it dyed with honey blonde and a chocolate brown low light. She originally asked for $30 to do this. On the day that I purchased the hair she said that it would cost $40. I asked why and she said because she didn't realize that I wanted high lights and low lights.
I explained to her that I had shown her pics. I showed her the stylist hair that worked in the salon and I explained over and over again that I wanted blonde highlights and brown low lights. What is there to not understand???!!! So I gave her the $40, which she said she would be working on the coloring all night to have it completely done before I arrived the next day.
Moving forward - I arrived at the shop, like I said, promptly at 2 pm. The hair was in a plastic bag and the color was goldfish orange. Of course I told her it was all wrong. She kept commending herself for what a good job she had done instead of listening to what I had to say. Finally she said that it was an easy fix. She would color one of the bundles brown.
At this point I'm furious and waiting because she's still doing someone else's hair. When she finished this lady's head she told me and another client at the same time to go to the wash bowl. So now I'm waiting for her to wash this woman's hair and mine. While waiting I'm listening to the stylist and the client having a confrontation about the client having to wait so long. Meanwhile I'm just sitting and waiting.
Mind you I've been there since 2 pm. She didn't start my hair until 7:30 pm. She still hadn't done the color correction. I heard her ask one of the other stylist if her teenage daughter could do the color.
When she finally started sewing it in, it was still the same color. It never was dyed brown. Once completed, it looked like she had sewn in a bunch of gold fish on my head. She curled my bang like an old woman and cut it too short. I had to have her flat iron it out, just like I showed her in the picture. She finally finished the botched up job at 10:30 pm. Eight and a half hours!!!!!!!!!!! And during that time the owner walked up and started discussing booth payments and telling her she was late paying. This was the second time this happened. The beauty supply guy was even putting her business out there while I was getting my hair done. Saying that she had run up her tab and she needed to pay before she could get anything else. UNPROFESSIONAL!!!!!!!
This all took place on a Saturday, so it was almost impossible to find a salon opened on Sunday to fix it. Went to a lady in the Beverly Hills area after talking to her on the phone that said she would take a look but after looking at it, decided she didn't want to touch it.
Finally found a salon in Beverly Hills that fixed it and did a great job. Loving the color. :-)
THESE PEOPLE ARE TACKY, UNPROFESSIONAL AND OFFER POOR SERVICE.
