Provided by DexKnowsWe chose to celebrate my husband's birthday at the Boathouse last night because we had been there before on several occasions and had been quite satisfied. The experience last night still has us wondering, how could a restaurant changed so drastically for the worse. The menu items were different which was explained to us but the food was not enjoyable even with the manager coming over to try to please with offering us to make another choice. The second choice still did not meet our expectations. Before booking the reservations, we mentioned that it was a special occasion and did they do anything for birthdays. The answer was "yes" but it never happened so when my daughter inquired to Zack, he said that the Boathouse did not do anything for specal occasions. So, which answer was correct because if we had known the answer was "no" then we would not have expected it.We still enjoy the atmosphere at the Boathouse so upon walking around with granddaughter before exiting, maybe fifteen minutes or less had gone by and we realized that the boxed items of food we did not eat had been left at the table. We telephoned to let them know we were on our way back to pick up and was told that the boxed items had already been thrown aways. That really took our dissatisfaction to a new level and we both agreed that we would probably never dine there again.
